Summer

As we start getting closer and closer to summer, I’m switching out my jackets and sweaters for airy pieces. This season I’m all about cute details on garments, neutrals and splashes of color here and there. Found this little knit dress via Sézane and let me tell ya – it’s a show stopper. I love it because it looks vintage, the silhouette is form fitting and how pretty are the crotchet finishes around the neckline? It Feels like a timeless piece I want to own forever.

Since the pattern of this dress is a bit busier, keeping accessories to a minimum was essential. Went ahead and threw on a button up and minimal sandals, a purse that paired perfectly with this dress, and delicate jewelry to keep the ensemble simple.

Summer is on the horizon, which probably means you’re already conjuring up all the stylish ‘fits that you will wear to your next staycation or beachy destination. An easy item that comes to mind is a flowy maxi dress! I don’t know about you but when I think of breezy warm weather I can’t help but imagine myself wearing dreamy maxi’s with colorful hues and fun prints on them. To get you in a summer state of mind, let this outfit here serve as inspo.

Accessorizing is key to elevating your maxi dress – I like to incorporate straw hats, dainty jewelry and to keep things summer appropriate pair with additional pops of color whether it be your bag or shoes (or both as I’ve done here!). Summer we are ready!

When it comes to an off duty look, it’s all about keeping things simple. Wear classic pieces that make you feel amazing. To start, I usually reach for denim – whether it be shorts or jeans. Then I like to throw on a cool garment that’s eye-catching but at the same time minimal. Here I went with denim shorts and a pullover – the oversized collar on this 1/2 zip and boxy fit are trend- forward yet minimal. 😉

I finished this look with scrunchie socks + dad sneakers, sunnies and a tote. These final details offer a balance between laid-back and luxe, all the ingredients needed for a perfect off-duty fit. Whether you’re running errands, meeting with friends etc, this outfit is the perfect go-to when you want to look put together without trying too hard.

These New Balance v990 have been all the fashion rave and they’re very much here to stay. They’re insanely cool and versatile – I went for a sporty take here but alternatively you can pair them with feminine pieces like a maxi or mini dresses, skirts etc. Additionally, these babies are so comfortable and great for all day wear! 😉
